Jeopardizing Lincoln's Legislative Agenda

In an effort to score a quick political point during his unsuccessful 2007 Mayoral campaign, Ken Svoboda proposed that Nebraska eliminate new roads construction for the western two thirds of the state and dedicate all those funds to Lincoln and Omaha.

The negative reaction from across the state in the Legislature was prompt and caused several senators to consider blocking legislation important to the future of Lincoln.
